The Loving Programmer downloaded The Creation Program with incredible density. There are, for instance, more molecules in one pint of water than there are pints of water in all the oceans of the world.
The density allowed The Program to have tremendous variety. And, things are so dense that it’s difficult for the unbelieving to believe in God. “The more I learn about how complicated things are, the less I can believe that God could be smart enough to do it.”
Some of don’t let the complexities of The Program separate us from The Loving Programmer. He programs in particles and energies. He wrote and downloaded The Creation Program so realistically that the closest analogy we can find is “Hey! I’m like living a huge, really long-running movie in actual 3-D!”
When we realize that, another realization occurs: “Guess what? During my time in The Movie, I am the star of my own show! I write my own lines! I act whatever part I want!” You are a Star in The Movie!
Then, we may be blessed to realize: The Movie set is complicated! Electrons, atoms, molecules, liquids, solids, gases, plants, animals, mountains, canyons, deer, whales, moons, stars, why it just goes on and on and on. And, lots of people!
It’s so complicated that it’s hard to know which way is up. “Which way is up, if you’re standing in Australia?” we may be afraid to ask.
But, amid the clouds of confusion, there is a fact: A few thousand years ago, a half dozen or dozen men were told about someone coming to save the souls of those who believed. By an ongoing miracle, their prophecies were written down, a few hundred of them.
That’s something that all the actors in the movie can understand, if they choose to do so. Then, the prophecies were fulfilled. In the predicted town, to the predicted parents, in the foretold family, Jesus was born. The Big Star rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, was lifted up before men, no bone of His was broken, and by His stripes we are healed.
He said the oddest thing that any actor in The Movie said, in John 6:53: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
Then, He Founded One Church, saying to one man in Mt. 16:18-20: “And I tell you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The smarter actors hear the lines of The Big Star and realize, “He’s not only the Big Star! He’s The Director! He is talking to me!” They decide to believe and obey. If they do so sufficiently, The Critic gives them a good review when their performance is over.
The others choose to wander aimlessly around the set. They stay lost in its dense complexity. Forever.
