Still under the radar.

Catholic Fundamentalism is an alternative to the Conventional Reality in which most of us operate our thoughts, words, and deeds. Since we tend to be quite comfortable with what we believe, we see no reason for change. “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”, we say of our beliefs with a smugness that irritates the saints more than almost anything we do.

On the surface, Catholic Fundamentalism is simple. “God can program in three dimensions. He programmed energies and particles. Then, He compiled them into systems and beings. We are beings with free will, and the entirety of creation was programmed to separate those of us who would believe in Him and follow His Operating Instructions from those who won’t.”

When we consider the vast Creation Program, we realize that it could have been written and downloaded by such a powerful Programmer, in three dimensions, in much the way Genesis says it was. The Programmer made Himself some help. In this vast endeavor of bringing all of space and time into being, He programmed countless Programming Assistants, whom our Iron Age ancestors called “angels”.

Some of those angels decided they should have a “union shop”, and started working against The Programmer and The Program. Too bad for them and for those who choose to follow their vain examples, but He knew how The Program was to operate.

Jesus Christ, of course, is The Program. He is everything The Programmer programmed; summed up in perfect, living, obedient, human form. Between the Programmer and The Program is the personification of His version of the interaction that goes on between a human programmer and his program. The being that makes it possible for the Programmer and Program to be one is The Holy Wireless Connector, the living and eternal verb.

The oneness of those three, Programmer, Program, and Holy Wireless Connector may be more easily understood by thinking with those terms, along with “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”.
