Today, 1/6/2025, our Daily Reading shows the joy of Being Catholic and the loveless despair in which we otherwise would live.
1 John 4:7-10 lets Catholics be smart enough to know how blessed we are to be among God’s children: “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.”
We are blessed to “know God” well enough to be in The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope, “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.” to us!
Those who reject God’s Love also reject Christ’s One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church: “Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.”
Catholics are blessed to acknowledge Christ’s Call to Catholic communion in this passage. “In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might have life through him.”
By receiving The Body and Blood of Christ by the Miracle of Transubstantiation at every Catholic Mass since The Last Supper, Catholics are included among those who find God’s “life” in us!:
“In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.”
The Miracle of Catholic Communion provides The Body and Blood of Jesus to 1.4 billion Catholics. It was predicted in Today’s Gospel from Mark 6:34-44, when 5,000 men and their thousands of wives and children were fed by “five loaves and two fishes“!
At every Catholic Mass, 1.4 billion Catholics around the world may obey His Call to Catholic Communion that He repeated 14 times: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme: “God is without, God is within; / if we do not fall into sin.”
