I was a Protestant for many, many years.  The dumbest thing I did when I was a Protestant?  I willfully chose to ignore The Word Jesus repeated 14 times:

“If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Jesus thought that call to Catholic Communion was so important that He repeated it fourteen times!

I didn’t care!  I was a Protestant!  I thought I knew more than Jesus about that!

~

When I was a Protestant, I thought it was enough to merely babble about being “born again”!   I loved to mindlessly repeat:  “I believe in Jesus!”‘

While I babbled, I ignored This Word of Jesus:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

~

I also rejected This Word of Jesus!

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

~

I was willfully disobeying Three Words of Jesus!

Suddenly, it hit me!  “I am calling myself a ‘Christian’.   What am I really doing?  I am living a lie!  I am saying:  ‘I am a Christian.’ while I am willfully disobeying Actual Words Spoken to me by Christ!”

~

There was only one way to live in obedience to Every Word of Jesus!  I had to be in The Only Church He gave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”!   Willfully choosing to believe anything else would keep me out of Heaven.

By the Grace of Jesus, I was received into His Church.   I was able to receive Absolution from a Catholic priest!  They are the only people on earth who are empowered by This Word of Jesus:  “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”

~

I pray that everyone is smart enough to understand more quickly than I could:   Every Word of Jesus Is Truth!

My confession:  The dumbest thing I did when I was a Protestant?

I thought it was right to disobey Any Word of Jesus!
