Clever marketing leads people to choose one brand of car, soap, paint, candidate, denomination, or any other product over another.   Broadcast and print media spew clouds of facts and feelings to influence choices.  Marketing experts  use every kind of media to put favorable thoughts about their clients’ products into our minds.

Few know:   the basis of Marketing is the Vanity within each consumer.   Vanity causes an affinity for things that are already in our minds.

It is hard for Marketing experts to erase and replace customary practices.   Every Protestant man with a Marketing Plan has to do that.  The first Protestant man’s Marketing Plan began when Martin Luther figured out how to redirect centuries of cash flows from The Catholic Church into his start-up.

Marketing experts always take advantage of newer, cheaper ways to reach people.   The first Protestant man’s Marketing Plan included:  “Until now, the only way to let people know things was by Town Crier.  Couldn’t get anything complicated across.  Now, printing presses and cheap paper let us blanket whole cities with confusing doctrines.  We can tell ’em  ‘Martin Luther is good because he can get us into Heaven cheaper!'”

At first, no one thought that would work.  So, Martin Luther tried to get more money from the rich.  “Listen, there isn’t a lot of cash money around.  Every silver penny we can keep from going to Rome makes us all richer.”

When the nobles didn’t respond quickly enough, he spoke with the poor, as his printing presses railed against the rich:   “You should revolt!”  The Peasants’ Rebellion was put down when Martin Luther again switched sides and told the nobles “Kill the German pigs!”  After 150,000 untrained peasants were wiped out by professional soldiers, more nobles, and their armed forces, were on his side.   The whole thing was paid for by selling property stolen from The Church and faithful Catholics.   Better yet for the nobles, in future years, less money went to Rome, so taxes could be raised.

To this day, a Protestant man with a Marketing Plan reaches similar conclusions:  “It’s hard, going against The Son of God, Second Person of The Holy Trinity, the Lamb of God, and 2,000 years of The Only Church He Founded.  It’s difficult making people forget that Christ ordained Catholic priests with the power to forgive sins and  transform bread and wine into His Body and Blood.”

“In fact, it’s the toughest kind of marketing!  But, I am a Protestant man with a Marketing Plan and that’s how we make a living!  What’s the latest thing some Judas has done that I can use to make The Church look bad?”
