Question 1: “What Two Kinds of People does The Prophet Jeremiah describe?”

Answer: “Jer 17:5-10 tells us about One Kind of People! ‘Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the person who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from The Lord.’

~

Question 2: “Does Jeremiah tell us what Those Kind of People become?

Answer: “They turn into this! ‘Each is like a barren bush in the desert that enjoys no change of season, but stands in a lava waste, a salt and empty earth.’

~

Question 3: “Does Jeremiah tell us about The Other Kind of People?”

Answer: “‘Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is The Lord.’

~

Question 4: “How does Jeremiah describe them and their lives?”

Answer: “Their ‘hope’ becomes doing The Will of God! ‘He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: It fears not the heat when it comes, its leaves stay green; in the year of drought it shows no distress, but still bears fruit.’

~

Question 5: “What is the ‘water’ in ‘the stream’ that lets That Kind of People keep on ‘bearing fruit’?”

Answer: “The ‘life-giving stream’ is The Word of God! Once, it came to us through His Prophets.”

~

Question 6: “How does ‘The Word of God’ come to us, today?”

Answer: “The Word of God took Human Form and came to earth in The Prophecy-fulfilling Person of Jesus Christ.”

~

Question 7: “Did The Word of God tell us how our souls can ‘hope’ to be forever with Him in Heaven?”

Answer: “If we sink our roots into the ‘stream’ of His Life-giving Words, we will obey His Great Decree and get these ‘keys’ for our immortal soul!

‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 8: “Is Baptism the first of the ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’?”

Answer: “Yes. God’s Power is so great that He can remove the stain of Original Sin even from a tiny baby! Being Baptized ‘In The Name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit.’ is the first True Happiness a baby can know.

Baptism ‘Plants us by the water’ so we can ‘stretch out our roots to the stream’ of Living Water.”
