The Protestant Problem: Jesus made Peter His First Catholic Pope. #82.

God's "obedient sheep" hear the "Hidden Prophecies" of God's call to "Be Catholic!" in Today's Reading!

All Christians know that Jesus fulfilled hundreds of Messianic Prophecies.  Many do not listen clearly to The Church-Creating Word of He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies to His First Catholic Pope:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The Book of Acts, 2:14, 36-41, helps many “Be Catholic”“Then, Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed:  ‘Let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made both Lord and Christ, this Jesus Whom you crucified.”

Catholics know “the Eleven” were Christ’s First Catholic Bishops!  They would travel from India to Italy, founding the first Catholic Dioceses and parishes.

The First Catholic converts asked The First Catholic Pope and Bishops for guidance!  “Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other Apostles, ‘What are we to do, my brothers?”

“Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be Baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins;  and you will receive the gift of The Holy Spirit.'”

That “Hidden Prophecy” predicted that the people of the world would be divided into two groups:  Some would “repent, be Baptized, and receive the gift of The Holy Spirit.”  Others would not “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation”.  They would choose to be in it!

The “Hidden Prophecy” in Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.”  was fulfilled!   John 10:14 tells us Who Jesus told us He is!  “‘I am the good shepherd,’ says The Lord.  ‘I know My sheep and My sheep know Me.'”

That leads to the “Hidden Prophecies” in John 10:1-10.  “Jesus said, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber.”  That “Hidden Prophecy” predicts the billions of Catholics who would obey “The Good Shepherd” and every “thief and robber” who would prey upon them.

Catholics are those who “are called by name” and He“leads them out”.  His “sheep follow Him because they recognize His voice”!

Then, He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies made His Mission clear, again!  “Jesus said to them again, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep.  All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.”

From that day to the last, Catholics are predicted by this “Hidden Prophecy”! “I am the gate.  Whoever enters through Me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.”

Those on the other side are specifically identified:  “A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy.  I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

That is a “Hidden Prophecy” of The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 14 times!  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood, you do not have life in you.”
