The Psalms and The New Testament tell Catholics about “The New Jerusalem”! #22.

Only Catholics meaningfully make The Connection between The Old and New Testaments and The Connection between The Temple in Jerusalem and The Vatican in Rome.

Question 1: “What do we learn about ‘The New Jerusalem’ from The Psalms and The New Testament?”

Answer: Ps 122:1-5 tell us that holy, obedient people will be among those who say: ‘Let us go rejoicing to the house of The Lord.’

The People of God know: ‘I rejoiced because they said to me, ‘we will go up to the house of The Lord.’ Obedient people take the next step! ‘And now we have set foot within your gates, O Jerusalem.’

God’s People once did this! ‘Jerusalem, built as a city with compact unity. To it the tribes go up, the tribes of The Lord.’

God’s ‘obedient friends’ know This Word of God: ‘According to the decree for Israel, to give thanks to The Name of The Lord. In it are set up judgment seats, seats for the house of David.’

God’s People make This Response to all three of those Psalm Readings: ‘Let us go rejoicing to the house of The Lord.’

‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven.’
