“All things work together for good.” Judas? How do Judases “work together for good”? How do 45,000 conflicting denominations “work together for good”? How did a few thousand molesters who infiltrated The Church sixty years ago “work together for good”?
A suggestion:
Jesus was clear: “I come to divide.” He promised to divide “sheep from goats” and “wheat from weeds“. Those divisions would take place despite outward similarities.
He cherishes His obedient sheep: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
How do Judases “work together for good”, even as they attack Jesus and The Only Church He Founded?
God knows that the vain seek reasons to avoid obeying Him. There are always reasons to let the vain choose to “feel good about myself” for disobeying.
“Well, I certainly cannot respect Jesus! He chose Judas to work closely with Him for three years and didn’t even know he would betray Him! How smart is that?”
They separated themselves from His obedient sheep.
Greedy men realized: “If we make excuses to steal Church Property in Europe, we can become ‘instant billionaires’.” They hired men greedy for fame, fortune, and sex to invent excuses to take title to millions of acres that had been used for monasteries, convents, churches, hospitals, schools, orphanages, universities, and accommodations for the poor.
Many embraced that vanity, and what are now 45,000 “somewhat” Catholic denominations, that sprang into being. They separate themselves from His obedient sheep who remain in The Church He Decreed into Being by saying:
“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Many have said, “I cannot be a Catholic! Modern Judases infiltrated The Church and abused several thousand young people!”
They, too, have separated themselves from His obedient sheep. They choose to not clearly condemn abortion and abortion-inducing birth control that kills billions of unborn babies because Catholic Teaching, “Life must be protected from conception to natural death.” is hated by the disobedient.
Free will is His eternal blessing to the obedient and His unending curse to those who choose to disobey. So, “all things work together for good.”
