This “Not-so Hidden Prophecy” from Moses still cures “Confusion Headaches”! #18.

Catholics find Truth that connects Abraham, Moses, and Jesus to us! We begin by being among the few people who know what the word "deuteronomy" means:

Today, Catholics read the Book of Deuteronomy 30:15-20.  The first question we ask is “What does ‘Deuteronomy’ mean?”

It comes from Jewish people who spoke and wrote in the Greek language, used by those who ruled the Middle East after Alexander the Great’s successors moved many from speaking Hebrew and Aramaic to Greek.  Greek-Speaking Jewish people provided many books of The Bible.  Most of them were removed by Luther and others who thought they were “Too Catholic”!

“Deuteronomy” means “Second Law”.  It predicts the early centralization of God’s Authority in Jerusalem.  The “Second Law” renews the Covenant God made when He had Melchizedek provide Abraham with “bread and wine at Jerusalem”.  That foreshadowed Catholic Communion that would provide “God in the flesh” by He Who Fulfilled over 300 Messianic Prophecies when “born of a Virgin of the House of David in Bethlehem” at The Last Supper and at every Catholic Mass that followed.

Now, we may consider The Prophecy of Moses in Today’s Catholic Reading from Deuteronomy!

“Moses said to the people:  ‘Today (Catholics think clearly enough to see the word, ‘today’,  is a “Hidden Prophecy” describing every day that followed!) I have set before you life and prosperity, death and doom. If you obey the commandments of the LORD, your God, which I enjoin on you today, loving Him, and walking in His ways, and keeping His commandments, statutes, and decrees, you will live and grow numerous and the LORD, your God, will bless you in the land you are entering to occupy.”

Then, Moses gave us This Prophesy about those who would disobey God:

If, however, you turn away your hearts and will not listen, but are led astray and adore and serve other gods (A “Hidden Prophecy” of what Solomon and others would do in future centuries.), I tell you now that you will certainly perish;  you will not have a long life on the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and occupy.”  (That is not a “Hidden Prophecy”!)

Then The God Who led Abraham and Moses made This Promise!

“I call heaven and earth today to witness against you:  I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.”

Then, God had Moses give His people This Direct Order that would eternally separate saved souls from the lost!

Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live, by loving the LORD, your God, heeding His voice, and holding fast to Him.  For that will mean life for you, a long life for you to live on the land that the LORD swore He would give to your fathers;  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

How do Catholics fulfill That Prophecy?

First, we are blessed to honor The Church Spoken Into Being by He Who Fulfilled The Messianic Prophecies to His First Catholic Pope:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Second, we are blessed to obey The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 14 times: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Third, Catholic Teaching tells us to live by “keeping God’s 6th Commandment” to His people: ‘Thou shalt not kill!’   Catholics are blessed to most meaningfully honor God’s Word to Moses because we “choose life” by obeying this Catholic Teaching:

“Life must be protected from conception until natural death.”
