Three Sentences Tell Catholics What “Life” Is

Catholics Know: “Our Immortal Soul Is the Treasure We Hold in Our Earthen Vessels.”

The Treasure in Earthen Vessels

“We hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)

The “treasure” is our immortal soul, created by God and destined for eternity. Our bodies are “earthen vessels,” fragile and temporary. Yet through them, Catholics protect this treasure from the forces that seek to drag it into eternal suffering.

Jesus Christ gave His Church the authority to safeguard souls. He said to Peter, “You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 16:18–19)

Through the sacraments, Catholics defend the soul. Each sacrament pours out grace, guarding the soul from sin and empowering it with God’s own life.

The Life of Jesus Manifested in Our Bodies

“We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair… always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body.” (2 Corinthians 4:8–10)

Suffering unites us with Christ. Catholics embrace their crosses knowing each trial brings the soul closer to God. By participating in Christ’s sufferings, we become living witnesses of His Resurrection.

This visible witness is a light to the world. Catholics, though struck down by trials, reflect the enduring hope and strength of Jesus Christ, as they walk in communion with His passion.

Life in Mortal Flesh

“We who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” (2 Corinthians 4:11)

The Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist is the supreme way His life is manifested in our mortal bodies. At every Catholic Mass, the bread and wine become His actual Body and Blood through the Miracle of Transubstantiation.

Jesus made this truth clear: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life within you.” (John 6:53) Those who receive Him in Holy Communion participate in His eternal life, already begun in the soul.

Shining Like Lights

“Shine like lights in the world, as you hold on to the word of life.” (Philippians 2:15–16)

Catholics are called to stand out. By living the truth, speaking with love, and defending the faith, they shine brightly in a world of confusion. Every small act of virtue becomes a powerful testimony to God’s grace within the soul.

Our mission is to reflect the Light of Christ and spread His Gospel through our faithful witness.

Why Aren’t More People Catholic?

Many people ignore three simple facts that point to the Catholic faith:

  1. God began His Creation Plan over 13 trillion light-years ago.
  2. At the appointed time, His Word took human form in fulfillment of prophecy.
  3. A Virgin gave birth to the Son of God in Bethlehem.

These truths are not myths. They are realities passed down through Sacred Scripture and Tradition. Only the Catholic Church has preserved these truths with full authority since Christ walked the earth.

Why Is the Creation Program So Big and Old?

God gave mankind free will. Every person must choose whether to accept or reject the truth of Christ’s Church.

The vastness of Creation reflects the infinite wisdom of its Creator. Its complexity humbles us. Yet through the Church, God provides clarity, meaning, and a clear path to eternal life through the sacraments and truth. The mysteries of Creation lead us toward the Kingdom.

Only Catholics have the fullness of understanding needed to preserve the treasure of the soul and follow Christ to Heaven.
