Today, the 30th of May, The Roman Catholic Church’s Scripture Readings include this passage from Sirach:
Reading 1 Sir 42:15-25
“Now will I recall God’s works;
what I have seen, I will describe.
At God’s word were His works brought into being;
they do His will as He has ordained for them.
As the rising sun is clear to all,
so the glory of the LORD fills all his works;
what I have seen, I will describe.
At God’s word were His works brought into being;
they do His will as He has ordained for them.
As the rising sun is clear to all,
so the glory of the LORD fills all his works;
. . . . . .How beautiful are all his works!
even to the spark and fleeting vision!
The universe lives and abides forever;
to meet each need, each creature is preserved.
All of them differ, one from another,
yet none of them has he made in vain,
For each in turn, as it comes, is good;
can one ever see enough of their splendor?”
even to the spark and fleeting vision!
The universe lives and abides forever;
to meet each need, each creature is preserved.
All of them differ, one from another,
yet none of them has he made in vain,
For each in turn, as it comes, is good;
can one ever see enough of their splendor?”
The passage describes Catholic Fundamentalism’s view of God as The Loving Programmer. “At God’s word were His works brought into being; they do His will as He has ordained for them.”
Every part of The Creation Program was written and downloaded by His Words. He said “Let there be light (which was the Iron Age word for the energy spectrum)” and there was light.”
Similarly, everything he wanted is both different and necessary. If there had been computers when the First Programming Log (Old Testament) was written, we would be reading about The Loving Programmer and how perfectly all the unique programmed entities work so perfectly together.
In our age, we can better understand. Our belief grows as we use what humanity has learned in the past fifty years to better understand The Loving Programmer and His writing and downloading of The Creation Program.
Today, we realize that The Loving Programmer programs in actual particles. We think of Him programming particles and energies with what we crudely visualize as 3-D pixels/fractals. With them, He has downloaded The Creation Program so perfectly that we humans, His beloved and complicated free will programs, can’t even tell He did it.
Today, thinking of Him as The Loving Programmer helps. Suddenly, it’s a lot smarter to believe than not. Every day, our belief is enhanced by the tiny programs that we, human programmers, are able to create. “If we program this,”, we say, looking at some computerized operation, “then God can program all that.”, and look at the world around us anew.
Today, it is easier, smarter, and safer to believe in The Loving Programmer.
