Isaiah 26:1-6 prophesies the “end of Jerusalem” 700 years later, in 70 AD: “A strong city have we… with walls and ramparts to protect us… Open up the gates to let in a nation that is just, one that keeps faith.”
That “nation” refers to the first Catholics who lived in Jerusalem. They kept “the faith” of those who followed Jesus, the Prophesied Messiah born in Bethlehem. The Prophet told us what would happen to those who did not “Trust in the LORD forever!” and Isaiah warned the ages: “For the LORD is an eternal Rock…He humbles those in high places, and the lofty city He brings down; He tumbles it to the ground, levels it with the dust. It is trampled underfoot by the needy, by the footsteps of the poor.”
700 years later, Jesus repeated the Prophecy of Isiah about the fate of Jerusalem, in Mt. 22:4, “Not one stone will be left standing on another.” 35 years later, Vespasian and Titus fulfilled that Prophecy. Titus “flattened the city”, and “not one stone was left standing on another.”
Anyone can connect our mind and soul with The Prophecy about Jesus in Psalm 118! “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”! “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man or princes... “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD… the LORD is God and He has given us light.” That “light” is Jesus!
Today’s Catholic Alleluia from Isaiah 55:6 is another Prophecy that tells us how to save our souls! “Seek the LORD while He may be found; call Him while He is near.”
Today’s Gospel from Mt 7, 24-27 gives us the cure for “Confusion Headaches” from He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies! “Jesus said to His disciples: ‘Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord.’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in Heaven.” Catholics know that is how Jesus has separated His obedient sheep from willful goats! He makes that division even clearer:
“Everyone who listens to these Words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But, it did not collapse.”
Then, Jesus tells us the fate of those who stubbornly refuse to Be Catholic! “And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand.”
Catholics are not “fools” who suffer from “Confusion Headaches”! We “act” on The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
For 2,000 years, the fate of anti-Catholics has been clear for all to see! Nation after nation, denomination after denomination, family after family, and person after person are lost when “the winds blew” because all who are anti-Catholic have “built their house upon sand.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme: “Catholics rise while others fall / for rejecting Jesus, one and all.”
