Today’s “Hidden Prophecies” from Hosea and Jesus: #40.

"Hidden Prophecies" help Catholics see how important it is to be "humble and repentant" before God.

Hosea 6:1-6 gives Catholics a “Hidden Prophecy” of The Resurrection of Jesus and how it benefits us through The Sacrament of Confession to and Absolution from our beloved Catholic priests who have been blessed with God’s “Holy Orders” since The Last Supper.

“Come, let us return to The LORD, it is He Who has torn, but He will heal us;  He has struck us down, but He will bind our wounds.  He will revive us after two days; on the third day, He will raise us up, to live in His Presence.”

Then, Hosea gives us a “Hidden Prophecy” for what Catholic People will pray while they have time on earth:  “… let us strive to know The LORD;  as certain as the dawn is His coming, and His Judgment shines forth like the light of day!”

Those who truly “strive to know The Lord” will prepare for His Judgment by the “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that He Who Fulfilled the Messianic Prophecies gave to His First Catholic Pope:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

One of those “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” is The Sacrament of Confession/Absolution.  Catholics get that “key to The Kingdom of Heaven” by understanding its “Hidden Prophesy” in Today’s Psalm 51: 3-4, 18-19-20: 20-21.

Catholics ask God to “Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness… wipe out my offense.  Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me.”  Catholics realize is a “Hidden Prophecy” of the power of Catholic priests ordained with God’s “Holy Orders” that let them “absolve” us of the sins we “confess” to them!

The “Hidden Prophecies” of Hosea lead to the “Hidden Prophecy” of Catholic souls who would be saved in Today’s Verse Before the Gospel from Psalm 95:8, “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.”

Catholics do not “harden our hearts” as did the Pharisee who bragged in Luke 18:9-1, “O God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of humanity;  greedy, dishonest, adulterous, like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income.”

Catholics make the plea of the nearby “tax collector”.  His “Jesus-approved” request leads us to Be Catholic:  “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.”  Jesus assured us that “the one who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

That is a “Hidden Prophecy” of Catholics who are blessed to seek Absolution through Confession to a Catholic priest.
