Today’s Daily Reading: Good Reasons to Be Catholic!” #75.

Are Catholics the only people who meaningfully follow The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

Are Catholics the only people who meaningfully follow The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

Question 1: “What is the first Good Reason to Be Catholic in Today’s Reading?”

Answer: “The Prophet Ezekiel (Ez 37:1-14) told us that the Children of Israel were ‘dried bones that filled the center of the plain. He made me walk among the bones in every direction. How dry they were!’

~

Question 2: “Was there hope for those who had become ‘dried bones’?”

Answer: “God told His Prophet He will let ‘dried bones’ come to life’. Ezekiel is prophesying that God would bring This Life-Giving Food to earth 600 years later in The Call to Catholic Communion Jesus repeated 12 times in John 6 and twice more at The Last Supper: ‘If you do not eat My body and drink My blood you do not have life in you.’
~

Question 3: “Was That Holy Food predicted 1,000 years before Jesus in The Psalms?”

Answer: “Psalm 107:9 includes ‘Those whom He has redeemed from the land of the foe and gathered from the east, west, north, and south’ had all gone astray in the desert wilderness, on the way to an inhabited city they did not find. Hungry and thirsty, their life was wasting away before them.’

~

Question 4: “Does every person turn into ‘dry bones’ and find our ‘life wasting away before them’ because we followed our desires instead of God’s Word?”

Answer: “After enough prophets and their followers had ‘cried out in their distress, The Lord rescued them and led them by a direct way to reach an inhabited city.’ That ‘direct way to the inhabited city’ came to earth in Catholic Communion.”

~

Question 5: “Is ‘the inhabited city’ The Catholic Church that St. Augustine would call ‘The City of God’?”

Answer: “Catholics most meaningfully understand! The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church spoken into Being by The Church-Creating Word of Jesus (Mt. 16:18-20) to The First Catholic Pope is ‘The City of God’! ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 6: “Why do some people avoid The City of God?”

Answer: “Mt. 22:34-40 describes those who worship themselves instead of God: ‘When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them, a scholar of the law, tested Him by asking, ‘Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?’

~

Question 7: “What did Jesus tell those who believed more meaningfully than the Sadducees?”

Answer: “Jesus told them what only Catholics can accept as His Power to Speak His Church Into Being: ‘He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.’

~

Question 8: “Why doesn’t everyone meaningfully believe in Jesus enough to be in The City of God He died to leave on earth?”

Answer: “For 2,600 years, Profiteers of Protestantism have taught their victims to reject Good Reasons to be Catholic: ‘Ignore The Church-Creating Word of Jesus. Give money to us. We want you to be ‘dry bones’ instead of having ‘life in you’.”
