Acts 16:11-15 is a “Hidden Prophcy” of what the first Catholics in every family and place are smart enough to do when they hear about Jesus!
In Today’s Catholic Reading, Paul, one of the first Catholic Bishops, arrived in “Philippi, a leading city in that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony (We now see that as a “Hidden Prophecy” that we now see predicted that “Rome” and its “colonies” would soon be taken over by Catholics who would rule in Rome far longer than that Empire’s rulers!) … On the sabbath, we went outside the city gate along the river. We sat and spoke with the women who had gathered there.”
One of them was smart enough to hear that Messianic Prophecies had been fulfilled and learn that The Word of God had taken human form on earth and was quickly blessed to “Be Catholic”!
“One of them, a woman named Lydia (an ancient Greek/German name meaning “pretty, soft, and tender”), a dealer in purple cloth, from the city of Thyatira, a worshiper of God, listened, and The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what Paul was saying.”
That was a “Hidden Prophecy” of how quickly God would bless those with “pretty, soft, and tender hearts” to quickly obey The Church-Creating Word of God Who Spoke One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being!
May every human heart be blessed to be “pretty, soft and tender” enough not to waste any time respecting Jesus enough to be in The Only Church that began to be spread around the world by His First Catholic Pope and Bishops! “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
The “Hidden Prophecy” in Today’s Psalm 140:1-6 & 9 predicts how God will love those with truly “pretty, soft and tender hearts” enough to let them “Be Catholic Quickly!” by telling us: “The Lord takes delight in His people.”
Those “Hidden Prophecies” are Fulfilled in today’s Alleluia, the “Hidden Prophecy” from John 15:26-27 that predicts everyone “tender-hearted” enough to “Be Catholic!”: “‘The Spirit of Truth will testify to Me’ says The Lord, ‘and you will also testify.'” May every Catholic be blessed to “testify” every hour of every day by always striving to “Love God and our neighbors as ourselves”!
Jesus gives more “Hidden Prophecies” in John 15:16-16:4. “Jesus said to His disciples: ‘When the Advocate comes, Whom I will send you from The Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from The Father, He will testify to Me. And you also testify, because you have been with Me from The Beginning.” (That is a “Hidden Prophecy” of The Holy Trinity at Work!)
Then! This “Hidden Prophecy” foretells those who would hate Catholics for following God instead of them!
“I have told you this so that you may not fall away. They will expel you from the synagogues; in fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God.”
That “Hidden Prophecy” of everyone who rejects the Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope is explained: “They will do this because they have not known either the Father or Me. I have told you this so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme: “I’ll be as Catholic As I Can Be / By loving God as much as me / and hopefully / more!”
