Today’s “Hidden Prophecy” in Acts 3:11-26 comes true in the cure of one man among the billions of people who are “crippled from birth”. He was healed by Peter, The First Catholic Pope, and the “most beloved Disciple”.
Many Christians understand! All who are not Baptized are “crippled from birth”. They must be “carried” into the presence of God.
Catholics know: every person who has not received The Seven Catholic Sacraments is “crippled”. Peter gives the “cure”! “And by faith in His Name, this man, whom you see and know, His Name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it (“His Name”) has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you.”
Catholics have been helping our “crippled” neighbors for the past 2,000 years by encouraging them to obey The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
The First Pope explains why we must not blame “crippled” people for not being Catholic! “Now I know, brothers and sisters, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did; but God has thus brought to fulfillment what He had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer.”
If the “crippled” man had rejected the help of Peter and John, he would have remained “crippled”. That is a “Hidden Prophecy” in Today’s Catholic Bible Reading: “Many ‘cripples’ do not know they are ‘crippled’!”
Christ’s “suffering” let Him give us the Catholic gifts of Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and the Holy Orders that have come to us for the past 2,000 years through His Catholic priests and religious so that “crippled people” may be fully healed.
