Today’s Reading from “Hebrews” is written to Catholics.

Catholics know that without obedience and “endurance”, our souls are lost. We see that in God’s Message to His Hebrews.

~

Question 1: “Are Catholics ‘Hebrews’?”

Answer: “God created the Hebrew people to prepare the way for His Son to come to earth. Catholics all obey This Word from The Son of God:

‘And I say unto you, thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

Therefore: Catholics are among the Twelve Tribes of Hebrews either genetically or spiritually or both.”

~

Question 2: “Is it easy to be a ‘Hebrew’?”

Answer: “Heb 10:32-39 tells us that it is hard! ‘Remember the days past when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a great contest of suffering. At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and affliction; at other times you associated yourselves with those so treated.’

~

Question 3: “Do Catholics always suffer for being obedient ‘Hebrews’?”

Answer: “In every age, Catholic ‘Hebrews’ are persecuted for following Jesus instead of what’s popular. ‘You even joined in the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you had a better and lasting possession.’

~

Question 4: “Every nation has times when worldly people punish Catholics for being obedient ‘Hebrews’. What does St. Paul tell us to do?”

Answer: “‘Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense. You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what He has promised.’

~

Question 5: “Does Jesus tell us to pray for ‘endurance’?

Answer: “St. Paul tells us why ‘endurance’ is important! ‘For, after just a brief moment, He who is to come shall come; He shall not delay. But my just one shall live by faith, and if he draws back I take no pleasure in him.’

~

Question 6: “What should the goal of every Catholic Hebrew be?”

Answer: “Getting our soul into Heaven! Every Catholic asks God to give us ‘endurance’! We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.’

Every Catholic prays for the ‘endurance’ to let our souls get through one of the Twelve Gates to Heaven that God provided for our Tribe.”
