Today’s Reading helps Catholics get ready for Easter! #17.

Only Catholics understand John 12:26 and can have Jesus ‘be’ in us!

~

Question 1:  “How does Today’s Reading help Catholics get ready for Easter?”

Answer:  “Jer. 31:31-34 tells us what is going to happen at Easter!  ‘The days are coming, says The Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.’

~

Question 2:  “Will ‘God’s New Covenant’ be different from the Old Covenant that God made with Abraham, Moses, the Prophets, and John the Baptist?”

Answer:  “‘It will not be like the Covenant I made with their fathers the day I took them by the hand to lead them forth from the land of Egypt;  for they broke My Covenant,  and I had to show Myself their Master, says The Lord.’

~

Question 3:  “What is ‘God’s New Covenant’?”

Answer:  “‘But this is The Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says The Lord.  I will place my law within them and write it upon their hearts;  I will be their God, and they shall be my people.’

~

Question 4:  “Are all Twelve Tribes included in ‘God’s New Covenant’?”

Answer:  “Those in The Twelve Tribes had spread from The Philippines to Ireland.  They would spend the next 2,000 years leading many of their neighbors to ‘God’s New Covenant’.”

~

Question 5:  “Will ‘God’s New Covenant’ be clear to all?”

Answer:  “‘No longer will they have need to teach their friends and relatives
how to know the LORD.  All, from least to greatest, shall know me, says the LORD,
for I will forgive their evildoing and remember their sin no more.’

~

Question 6:  “How would people learn about ‘God’s New Covenant’ and be saved?”

Answer:  “He will Speak One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church into Being to teach those in ‘God’s New Covenant’ how to get His ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 7:  “How would anyone on earth be made worthy to get those ‘keys’?”

Answer:  “The Sacrament of Confession and Absolution would let us obey Psalm 52:12 and let God:  ‘Create a clean heart in me, O God.’ and let Him do what He promises in 52:3:
‘Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness;  in the greatness of Your compassion wipe out my offense.  Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me.’

~

Question 8:  “Does God tell us how we may know if we are going to get our souls into Heaven with ‘God’s New Covenant’?”

Answer:  “God is very clear about that in John 12:26!  ‘Whoever serves me must follow me, says The Lord;  and where I am, there also will My servant be.’

~

Question 9:  “How do Catholics show that we ‘serve’ The Lord?”

Answer:  “Catholic priests are Ordained in Living Link with The 12 Disciples whom Jesus Ordained as The First Catholic Bishops.  They provide The Body and Blood of Jesus in Catholic Communion by The Miracle of Transubstantiation as Jesus did at The Last Supper.

Therefore, Jesus lives in every Catholic, making The Word of John 12:26 into Living Truth!  Those who receive Catholic Communion are living proof that ‘where I am, there also will My servant be.’

~

May all be blessed to obey The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 12 times in the last half of John 6 and twice more at The Last Supper:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

~

That is how and why Catholics are the only people on earth who meaningfully understand how blessed we are to ‘serve Jesus’ in John 12:26:

Whoever serves me must follow me, says the Lord;  and where I am, there also will my servant be.”

Only Catholics fully connect that with Jeremiah’s Prophecy from 2,600 years ago!  “I will place My Law within them.”
