God wants us to believe and obey so that our souls may live in joy with Him in Heaven, forever.
Satan wants us to disbelieve and disobey so that our souls may be tormented in hell, forever.
We determine which way we will go by the moral choices we make. If we decide to disobey without seeking forgiveness, we go to hell. If we make excuses for disobeying, we are send to a place of greater pain. The more deception involved in our decisions, the more pain we suffer.
Today’s Test for Souls:
Lately, there has been a great hue and cry about “marriage equality”. The popular position is: “Everyone should have an equal right to marry.” The devil likes such issues, and promotes them.
The entire Culture of Death, and the great majority of the Conventional Reality establishment, is in favor of “gay marriage”.
Scripture is against it. So, the Bible is made out to be “old-fashioned” and “insensitive”.
Today’s Test for Souls: Do we think that the Word of God is right, or do we think that popular position taken by the Culture of Death is correct?
Will we choose to follow God or the fallen angel? Will we remember: It’s important to be right and it’s important to love our neighbors.
Today’s Test for Souls: “Do you support gay marriage?” Each of us will choose an answer, and we will see what others choose to answer.
Position I: Some are proud of proclaiming “I support equal rights so I’m standing up for gay marriage”.
Position II: “I don’t want to offend anyone, so I really don’t have a position.”
Position III: “I believe that The Bible is the Word of God. I believe what He says on this, and every, subject.”
Where do the three different opinions take those who hold them? Those who take Position I, if they do not adequately repent, are in direct opposition to God’s clear Word on the subject. Their souls are treated accordingly.
People who hold Position II usually do not like to be reminded that He told us clearly, “The lukewarm water, I spit out of my mouth.”
The best answer, from a long-term point of view, is Position III. But, it must be combined with love of neighbor and understanding that most who choose wrong have been misled. If we combine being right with hating those who differ from us, we have not gained any traction on the path to Heaven, and may have slid backwards.
Today’s Test for Souls: There are three answers. The right answer only helps if we understand that being right must be accompanied by love of neighbor.
