Question 1:  “What does The Bible say that ‘Faith’ is?”

Answer:  “In Hebrews 11:1-2 and 8-19 The Great Apostle Paul tells his fellow Catholics:  ‘Brothers and sisters:  Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen.  Because of it, the ancient people were well attested.’

~

Question 2:  “Who was the first ‘ancient’ who ‘attested to faith’?”

Ancestor:  “‘By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance, went out not knowing where he was to go, sojourned in the promised land in tents with heirs of the same promise, and received power to generate though he was old and his wife was sterile.’

~

Question 3:  “What resulted from Abraham’s ‘faith’?”

Answer:  “‘So it was that there came forth from one man, himself as good as dead, descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sands on the seashore.’

~

Question 4: “Was Abraham given a greater ‘test of faith’?”

Answer:  “Yes!  ‘By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son, of whom it was said, Through Isaac descendants shall bear your name.  He reasoned that God was able to raise even from the dead, and he received Isaac back as a symbol.’

~

Question 5:  “Would all people have their ‘faith tested’?”

Answer:  “Two thousand years of ‘faith-testing’ led Zechariah to describe his son, John The Baptist, when God’s Old Testament to Abraham met His New Testament to us in Luke 1:69-75, described in The Canticle of Zechariah:

‘Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel; he has come to His people.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior, born of the house of His servant David.  Through His holy prophets, He promised of old. that He would save us from our sins from the hands of all who hate us. He promised to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant.
This was the oath He swore to our father Abraham:  to set us free from the bonds of our enemies, free to worship Him without fear, holy and righteous in His sight all the days of our life.’

~

Question 6:  “Did God call upon Himself to fulfill the sacrifice of Abraham’s son, Isaac?”

Answer:  “John 3:116 explains!  ‘God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might have eternal life.’

~

Question 7:  “Why are Catholics different from Protestants?”

Answer:  “We believe more fully in The Power of He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies  to Speak One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church into Being with His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’
