Two kinds of wealth for two kinds of people.

May all agree: "It is better to go to God's Judgment with one drop of His Blood than with a billion dollars."

We save our souls by following what is taught in Colossians 3:15, 9-13:  “Brothers and sisters:  if you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think about what is above, not of what is on earth. . . Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.”

Catholics understand:  Every person is enriched by Gifts from God that let us see, hear, move, and think as we please.   Those without God’s gifts would pay anything to get them.

Jesus explains in Luke 12:13:21 that it was not His job to worry about who should inherit earthly property.  He warned us:  “Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.”

Jesus tells us the mistake wealthy people make.  In post-agricultural words:  “There was a rich man whose work produced wealth.  He focused on investing his assets, after which he planned to eat, drink, and be merry!”

God’s reaction:  “You fool!  This night, you are going to die.  Who will get the things you have accumulated?”

Jesus explained to the ages:  “Thus it will be for all who store up treasure for themselves but are not rich in what matters to God.”

Every soul is so important to Jesus that He died to leave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” specifically to His First Catholic Pope and all who would follow: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “All that I have will soon be lost./ May I be blessed with The Church and Cross / of Jesus.”
