Two reactions to The First Catholic Cardinal-Bishops: Hate and worship!

St. Paul, one of The First Catholic Cardinal-Bishops, saw The Light!  Then, he shared That Light so that all could see Jesus and His Church.

Question 1:  “How did some Gentiles and Jews act to The First Catholic Cardinal-Bishops?”

Answer:  “In Acts 14:5-18 we learn ‘There was an attempt in Iconium by both the Gentiles and the Jews, together with their leaders, to attack and stone Paul and Barnabas.’

At the end of Today’s Catholic Reading, we find that others saw The Healing Miracles that Cardinal-Bishop Paul had performed, and ‘they cried out in their Laconian language:  ‘The gods have come down to us in human form.’

Their healing miracles caused Gentiles ‘to call Barnabas ‘Zeus’, (the king of their pagan gods), and to identify Paul as ‘Hermes’, (the messenger of their deities.)”

Question 2:  “Did Barnabas and Paul follow The Teaching of The Psalms?”

Answer:  “Yes!  They made God’s Teaching clear by following Psalms 115:1-4 and 15-16:  ‘Not to us, O Lord, but to Your Name give the glory.’  ‘Our God is in heaven;  whatever He wills, He does.  Their idols are silver and gold, the handiwork of men.  ‘May you be blessed by The Lord, Who made heaven and earth.  Heaven is the heaven of The Lord, but the earth He has given to the children of men.’”

Question 3:  “There are actual Words of Jesus in Today’s Reading from John 14:21-26.  Do Catholics obey those Words?”

Answer:  “Jesus identifies those whom He came to save:  ‘Jesus said to his disciples:  ‘Whoever has My commandments and observes them is the one who loves Me.’

Question 4:  “Catholics ‘observe’ The Church-Creating ‘Command’ with Which Jesus Spoke One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’  Does this mean that Catholics love Jesus enough to get into Heaven?”

Answer:  “Jesus was very clear about His obedient ‘friends’ ‘Whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.’

Question 5:  “Did Jesus specifically tell us that Catholics are blessed to get ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’?”

Answer:   “Jesus told us more than that!  ‘Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words;  yet the word you hear is not Mine but that of The Father Who sent Me.’”

Question 6:  “What do Willful Protestants love more than they love Jesus?”

Answer:  “They love their self-serving opinions more than they love God!  ‘I have told you this while I am with you.  The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My Name will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.’

~

May every Willful Protestant be blessed to understand That Word of Jesus!   Those who willfully refuse to ‘observe’ and ‘keep’ His Words automatically reject The Father and The Holy Spirit.  Willful Protestants let vanity lead them to reject The Entirety of The Holy Trinity Who can teach them ‘everything’!

Catholics spend eternity in Gratitude to The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit for giving us ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’.
