Twos.

Many things come in twos that started out as one, like Adam & Eve, Catholic & Protestant,

The old excuses for hating one’s neighbor crystallized into Marxism. Marxists soon split into Stalinists and Trotskyites.

Stalinists believed in taking over one country and institution at a time in a measured pace, slowly building an empire. After they took over Russia, they took over the institutions of the West, beginning with one public education union meeting after another until they controlled the bulk of that lucrative funding source.

When the success of that process was assured, they progressed through the mainline Protestant denominations and the New Deal agencies. Their progress came to be called “the long, slow march.”

Trotskyites wanted to go faster. They wanted to take over everything in the whole world, just as fast as they could get. Stalin did get rid of Trotsky, but he couldn’t get rid of the impatient Trotskyites.

Trotsky’s followers went underground, seething with hatred. They resurfaced as Environmentalists. Cleaning up the whole world became a front for destroying the last vestiges of freedom.

Twos, continued.

Most of those in modern institutions have forgotten the people who caused their employment opportunities to come into being. Stalinist origins of many institutions can be understood better by studying former Stalinists, like Bella Dodd.

Her writings can be googled. Her short book should be downloaded (it’s free) and read by all who want to understand the motivations behind Public Education. She describes a textbook example of how Stalinist thought takes root and grows.

Many have written of the period in which Stalin had Trotsky murdered, and how that murder filled the Trotskyites with rage. “We need a cause”, they said to each other, “that we can use to get back at them!”

Decades later, Environmentalism appeared as the answer to their dark prayer. “Environmentalism will let us stop anyone from doing anything! We can regulate, tax, monitor, legislate, and enforce! Oh, we can’t wait to ENFORCE!”

Meanwhile, the Stalinists were becoming middle class. Their teachers’ unions and hijacked agencies had provided them with income and benefits that made them a near nobility of tenured contentment. Public schools and state universities had been made into funding mechanisms that made them prosperous. They loved it!

The hammer and sickle were replaced with brie and chablis. Every liberal wanted a limousine, and many got them.

America’s previous nobility had developed in her unique aristocracy of accomplishment. It was destroyed by Marxists who attacked it with taxes, imports, regulations, and foundations. The small, steady increases in salaries and benefits afforded by the teachers’ powerful unions were doubling their salaries every ten or fifteen years, and America’s manufacturing jobs went down at the same rate.

Soon, almost every high school graduate wanted to be a teacher, but no one could do math. The private sector was marginalized in political importance, and Trotsky’s spiritual heirs, the Environmentalists, focused their hatred on the whole world.
