Understanding stupidity, slavery, and anti-Catholicism.

What is stupidity? The dictionary is clear:

stu·pid adjective ˈstü-pəd: not intelligent : having or showing a lack of ability to learn and understand things. not sensible or logical. not able to think normally because you are drunk, tired, etc.
a : slow of mind : obtuse b : given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner c : lacking intelligence or reason : brutish
2: dulled in feeling or sensation : torpid 3: marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting : senseless 4: lacking interest or point
God would not make someone in order to condemn them. So, our varying levels of intellectual ability are chosen. When we recognize that, we understand that genius is making what we can of the gifts we are given. Stupidity is wasting our talent.

Stupidity is not making good use of our gifts to help us in this life and the next. Stupidity keeps people from loving God, neighbors, and self.

The truly stupid hate for us to be free. They want their neighbors reduced to poverty, slavery, and death.

Many people become enslaved by sensory gratification. That dulls their minds with a degree of stupidity that keeps them from noticing their greater loss of freedom that can later be inflicted. Drugs offer a perfect example of enslaving people with addiction, then putting them in jail.

Other enslavers use taxation and regulation to reduce their neighbors’ freedom.

All who hate freedom are anti-Catholic. The freedom they hate most is the freedom to make choices that lead us to God and the eternal joy of the salvation they have, stupidly, chosen to renounce.

Understanding stupidity, slavery, and anti-Catholicism. It’s important. Seeing the hateful nature of those who choose stupidity may help us get to Heaven.
