Question 1: “Did rejecting God and His Love cause Judas to ‘betray’ Jesus?”

Answer:  “On Wednesday of Holy Week, we see Judas symbolizes extreme disobedience.  Two days ago, on Monday of Holy Week, John 12:1-11 explained that ‘Six days before Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus raised from the dead.’  That is when and where Jesus criticized Judas for being angry with Mary of Bethany because she had, as Judas correctly calculated:  ‘anointed the feet of Jesus with perfume worth three hundred days’ wages’.”

Question 2:  “Did Judas become angry at Jesus when He publicly criticized him by saying, ‘Leave her alone.  Let her keep this for the day of My burial.  You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.’?”

Answer:  “Mt. 26:14-25 explains that anger drove him:  ‘Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and said, ‘What are you willing to give me if I hand Jesus over to you?’  They offered Judas ‘thirty pieces of silver’, the price for causing the death of a slave and was 10% of ‘300 day’s wages’, the amount Judas may have been taking from donations.”

Question 3:  “When did Judas ‘betray’ Jesus?”

Answer:  “During The Last Supper, Jesus announced, ‘Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.’  Judas, one among the 12 Disciples, protested, ‘Surely, it is not I, Rabbi?’  Jesus replied, ‘You have said so.’

Question 4:  “How else did Judas protest against The Sanctity of Jesus?”

Answer:  “He chose to ignore The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to Peter, His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.'”

Question 5: “What makes people protest The Church-Creating Word of jesus??”

Answer:  “They are led to avoid the Amazing Reality that over 300 Specific Prophecies predicted God’s Perfection would take Human Form on earth.  There is even a Specific Prophecy about the coming Crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday, the day after tomorrow, in Today’s Psalm 69:22.  Catholics know this is one more reason to see The Perfect Divinity of Jesus well enough to be Catholic: ‘and for My thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink’.”
