What floats by in the River of Lies.

Many people do not understand that media is not there because it’s honest and objective.  Media is there for one reason:  owners of media get paid to disseminate opinions and information for those who pay them.

When media sends a message that’s been paid for by someone who agrees with us, we say:  “The media is  finally telling the truth.”

When we get a message that’s been paid for by someone who disagrees with our beliefs, we say:  “I just don’t understand why the media tells lies.”

If we are blessed with wisdom, we understand that nothing floats by in the River of Lies unless someone has paid to put it there.  All messages, except the few moments after a big disaster, are disseminated because someone paid to have them spread.

Finding individual, smaller truths is discovering who is paying for the messages.  Then, we may more readily understand What floats by in the River of Lies.

Journalism schools do not teach that media makes a living by being paid for passing on messages.  To maintain the illusion of credibility, two great lies are told, each in two words:  “Independent Journalism” and “Free Press.”  Why?  Media that’s believed to be respectable can charge more for messages.

Media fraud is so great that it drives some people to drink when they realize they are surrounded by lies and paid press releases.  Others have such a hard time dealing with all the lies they commit different forms of suicide.

Catholic Fundamentalism understands the vastness of the fraud and lies in which we are immersed.  The Loving Programmer has written and downloaded The Creation Program so well that those who choose to spend their lives telling and spreading lies cannot tell that He exists, let alone that He has a terrifying, awful punishment awaiting.

We use our time most wisely when thinking about The Loving Programmer, The Creation Program, His Church, our family, and our souls than:  What floats by in the River of Lies.
