Question 1:  “Does Today’s reading from Hebrews 10:32-39 show the fate of those who reject The Church Spoken Into Being by This Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’?”

Answer:  “St. Paul describes those whose souls are pleasing to Jesus:  ‘Remember the days past when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a great contest of suffering.’  Some did not ‘endure’ that and left The Church.”

Question 2:  “Do those who are pleasing to Jesus stay in The Church even when ‘At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and affliction;  at other times you associated yourselves with those so treated.’?”

Answer:  “Those who are pleasing to Jesus are among:  ‘You even joined in the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you had a better and lasting possession.’

~

Question 3:  “What is the ‘better and lasting possession’ we have if we stay in The Church despite every degree of disapproval?”

Answer:  “Catholics have ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ that take form on earth in Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.”

Question 4:  “What about people who leave The Church to gain approval from neighbors?”

Answer:  “They have fallen the farthest by ignoring:  ‘Therefore, do not throw away your confidence;
it will have great recompense.  You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.’

~

Question 5:  “Do those with ‘endurance’ know:  ‘We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.’?”

Answer:  “No one can deny That Word of Jesus!  If we reject His Church, we lose the ‘life’ that He died to let His Catholic priests provide on earth, telling us 14 times:  ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’

~

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “Those with Christ’s ‘life’ will never die. / Death comes to all who live a lie.”
