One of Today’s First Catholic Readings comes from the Book of Acts, 10:34,37-43. Catholics see that previous Books in the Bible share God’s Words and Teachings. All of them led up to this, The Book of Acts! We see how The First Catholic Bishops and their followers ACTED!
One man on earth was chosen by Jesus to be His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
It is fitting that our Easter Reading begins with the Book of ACTS that records what The First Catholic Pope led his First Catholic Bishops to do!
“He commissioned us to preach to the people and testify that He is the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through His name.”
Catholics know that Jesus specifically gave His First Catholic priests the Power they have today in John 20:23! “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.” The Catholic “Acts” that are still performed include Baptism, Confession/Absolution, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing, and Holy Orders, which Catholics are grateful to obey!
May all be blessed to realize: “Jesus knows more than I do about everything! I will be as Catholic as I can!’

Today’s Simple Rhyme: “Jesus gave His Life for me! / Catholic is what I want to be!”
