What is the 14th silly thing some Protestants say? “The Catholic Church should sell all that She has and give the money to the poor!”

The Church’s assets may be worth thirty billion dollars. The ten largest companies in the United States are worth about six trillion dollars. The total value of all the assets in the world is estimated over one thousand trillion dollars. That’s 1,000,000,000,000,000.00!

Catholics do simple arithmetic. We divide one thousand trillion dollars by 30 billion dollars. We see that The Catholic Church may have 1/33,000th of the world’s assets! Most of that property is in decaying, inner cities around the world.

Catholics do more simple arithmetic. We divide the $30,000,000,000 (thirty billion) of possible Church assets by the 5,000,000,000 (five billion) poor people in the world. If The Church liquidated her assets tomorrow, every poor person in the world could get $6.00. Distribution costs would cut that by 20%!

The poorest people in the world would have no more Catholic Hospitals, Charities, Orphanages, Leper Colonies, Churches, Schools, or Universities. Many Profiteers of Protestantism don’t care. They prefer that each poor person might get almost $5.00! Once.

The 14th silly thing some Protestants say: “The Church should sell all that She has and give the money to the poor!”

There are over 300,000 Protestant churches in The United States. Their land and buildings may have an average value of $150,000.00. They could all be sold. The Profiteers of Protestantism could give $45,000,000,000,00 to the world’s poor! No Protestant has ever suggested that!

The Profiteers of Protestantism do not realize how foolish they look. They invent their own Marketing Plans. They turn them into 45,000 money-making Denominations. They have hundreds of thousands of buildings. They never suggest selling their assets and giving the money to the poor!

+

They do something far more foolish. Protestants willfully disobey The Holy, Church-Founding Word of Jesus.

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

That willful disobedience keeps them from being among the only people Jesus lets into Heaven: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

Protestants do not calculate the cost of willful disobedience, either!
