Catholics are stunned when we hear members of forty-five thousand Protestant groups make their favorite announcement. “I am a Bible-believing Christian!”
We tell them they’ve made a mistake. “You cannot be a Bible-believing Christian! You do not believe the Holy, Church-Founding Word of Jesus that is in The Bible!”
It is true! Not one Protestant believes the short Bible Passage from Jesus.
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Protestants only repeat more loudly. “I am a Bible-believing Christian!!”
Catholics calmly ask: “How can you be a Bible-believing Christian if you don’t believe the actual Words of Jesus Christ that are in The Bible? You believe that God spoke ‘light’ into Being when He said ‘Let there be light.’ Why don’t you believe that Jesus Spoke The Only Church He Founded Into Being with His Holy, Church-Founding Word?”
+
Do you know what Protestants do? They repeat, even more loudly: “I am a Bible-believing Christian!!!”
Wow! Three exclamation points!!!
+
Catholics are still puzzled by the lack of logic. “I don’t understand. How is it possible to be a ‘Bible-believing Christian’ if you refuse to believe in that simple Bible passage? It is in The Bible.”
+
Do you know what Protestants do next? They repeat even more loudly, “I am a Bible-believing Christian!!!!”
Look at that!!!! Four exclamation points!!!!
+
Catholics try to explain. “It is logically impossible to be a ‘Bible-believing Christian’ if you refuse to believe all that Jesus taught in The Bible.”
The inevitable response?
“I am a Bible-believing Christian! I am what I say that I am! If I say that ‘I am a Bible-believing Christian.’, then I am a ‘Bible-believing Christian’!!!!!”

That’s Protestantism!!!!! Self-contradiction followed by any number of !!!!!s
