Question 1: “Why did Protestants take The Books of The Maccabees out of their Bibles?”

Answer: “That’s an interesting question! Many Protestant rulers had replaced Catholic Kings and Queens as real Heads of States. The Books of The Maccabees showed that God could help Faithful People defend their faith from evil forces.”

~

Question 2: “Is that why Protestants rulers encouraged their non-Catholic clergy to get rid of those Books?”

Answer: “Yes. The Books of The Maccabees tells about Israel’s oppressive Seleucid rulers. They were Greek descendants of Alexander the Great’s generals who began ruling Israel around 312BC. By 196BC, their self-righteousness led them to replace the Jewish Faith with ‘enlightened’ Greek ideas. Mattathias Maccabee and his sons went to war against the Seleucids when they attacked The Jewish Faith and people.”

Question 3: “Did God let His people win?”

Answer: “Everyone should read about this exciting war! The Books of The Maccabees are one of the Greatest History Books of all time!”

Question 4: “Do those Old Testament Books reinforce Catholic Teachings in The New Testament?”

Answer: “The Power of a Holy People to appoint leaders to enforce God’s Laws is summarized in 1 M 14:45-46. ‘Anyone contravening or rejecting these articles was to be liable at law.’ The validity of God-Centered Democracy was then established: ‘All the people consented to grant Simon the authority to act on these decisions.’

Question 5: “What other Catholic Teachings are confirmed by these Books?”

Answer: “Martyrdom is described as proper in 2 M, Chapters 6 and 7.

~

Question 6: “Were there any religious practices that The Profiteers of Protestantism wanted to hide?”

Answer: “Catholic Teaching encouraged belief in Indulgences. They are prayers, good works, and donations we make to atone for sins. The bodies of fallen Jewish soldiers were found with ‘false idols’ on them. In order to have that sin forgiven, 2 M 12:40-45 tells us: “2,000 drachmae was sent to Jerusalem to have a sacrifice for sin offered.’ The Protestants hated to see that validation of Catholic offerings sent to Rome as ‘sacrifices for sin.’

Question 7: “Catholics also believe that Holy Relics are helpful in keeping our thoughts in line with God. Did The Maccabees validate that?”

Answer: A very ‘Holy Relic’ was given to their leader when The Prophet Jeremiah, appeared! 2 M 15:14-16. ‘Jeremiah then stretched out his right hand and presented Judas with a golden sword, saying as he gave it: ‘Take this holy sword as a gift from God; with it you shall strike down enemies.’

That is a ‘Holy Relic’!”
