Why was The Book of Sirach taken out of Protestant Bibles? #14.

Luther, Calvin, and other early inventors of Protestant Marketing Plans did NOT want readers to see Sirach's Prophecies. So, after 1,500 years of Catholic Teaching, they did agree on one thing: "The Book of Sirach must be removed from our Bibles!"

Sirach 15:15-20 shares “Prophecies” that many wanted to be “Hidden”If you choose, you can keep the commandments, they will save you;  if you trust in God, you too shall live;  He has set before you fire and water.  To whichever you choose, stretch forth your hand.”

Catholics are blessed to “stretch forth our hands” to The Church-Creating Word of He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies to His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics also “stretch forth our hands” every time we obey the call of Jesus to Catholic Communion.  Jesus  told us 12 times in the last half of John 6, and twice more at The Last Supper:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood, you do not have life in you.”

Sirach’s Prophesied call to Catholic Communion is repeated in this “Hidden Prophecy” of that Holy Sacrament:  “Before man are life and death, good and evil, whichever he chooses will be given him.”  May all be blessed to “choose” the Body and Blood of Jesus provided by The Miracle of Transubstantiation, which He blessed His Catholic priests to provide at every Catholic Mass since The Last Supper!

Another “Hidden Prophecy”“Immense is the wisdom of the Lord; He is mighty in power, and all-seeing.” prophesies that He and His Catholic priests will provide That Holy Food to billions of Catholics every week and that He “sees” we who are blessed to “stretch forth our hands” to receive His Body and Blood!

Catholics also live by this “Hidden Prophecy”“The eyes of God are on those who fear Him;”  That describes Catholics in Communion with Him.  We realize that:  “He understands man’s every deed.”

Then, another “Hidden Prophesy” about rejecting, or encouraging others to reject, any Catholic Sacrament:  “No one does He command to act unjustly, to none does He give license to sin.”

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “May all on earth be blessed to see / Sirach’s ‘Hidden Prophesies’!”
