Today’s Psalm helps Jesus save us from Willful Protestantism’s confusion! #36.

Catholics know:  God’s Word in Today’s Psalm tells us to ‘Be Catholic’!

~

Question 1:  “Where does Psalm 50: 7-23 tell us to ‘Be Catholic!’ a thousand years before Jesus?”

Answer:  “Psalm 50:7 introduces Today’s Reading!  ‘Listen, My people, I will speak;  ‘Israel, I will testify against you;  God, your God, am I.’

~

Question 2:  “Why does ‘God’, Himself, ‘testify against Israel’, the Ten Northern Tribes of early Protestants?”

Answer:  “‘Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, your burnt offerings are always before Me.’  God then ‘testifies’ against Protestants of every Age by asking His Question:  ‘But to the wicked God asks:  ‘Why do you recite My Commandments and profess My Commandments with your mouth?  Because you hate discipline and you cast My Words behind you!'”

God has described the nature of Willful Protestants in Every Age:   They ‘hate discipline’!”

~

Question 3:  “Does God more fully describe the nature of Willful Protestantism?”

Answer:  “‘You hate discipline;  you cast My Words behind you!  You see a thief, you run with him;  you throw in your lot with adulterers.  You give your mouth free rein for evil;  you yoke your tongue to deceit.  You sit and speak against your brother, slandering your mother’s son.’

~

Question 4:  “What does God say after that?”

Answer:  “God asks a simple question!  ‘When you do these things, should I be silent?'”

~

Question 5:  “Does God describe The Ultimate Sin of Willful Protestantism with His Next Question:  ‘Do you think I am like you?’

Answer:  “For 3,000 years, Willful Protestants have believed God is like them’!  That is how they justify every disobedience to His Teachings!  For the last 2,000 years, Willful Protestants have replaced The Church-Creating Word of God with self-serving ideas of their own and have  ‘cast This Word behind them’:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 6:  “Do Catholics understand what God tells us about what can happen to Willful Protestants?”

Answer:  “‘Now understand this, you who forget God, lest I start ripping apart and there be no rescue.  Those who offer praise as a sacrifice honor Me:  I will let him whose way is steadfast look upon the Salvation of God.’

~

May all be blessed to ‘Be Catholic!’ and get the only ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ that Jesus Christ, The Son of God, died to leave to His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church on earth.
