Imperialistic Protestantism began when greedy men realized: “The Catholic Church has monasteries, convents, churches, schools, hospitals, and accommodations for the poor. It owns a third of England! If we can get our brain-damaged king to declare himself ‘Pope’, he can order the army to take that land and give it to us! We’ll be instant billionaires!”
Many resisted. Some were viciously tortured to death. Tens of thousands were killed. The greedy men got the land. They did become “instant billionaires”.
The countless billions (in today’s money) was not enough for the Imperialistic Protestantism. Over a million Irish men, women, and children died for the new crime of being Catholic. Their lands were taken by Imperialistic Protestantism.
Imperialistic Protestantism invented excuses for killing and stealing. The new, state-clergy preached this distortion: “Making sacrifices of prayer, good works, and donations to The Catholic Church for Indulgences to reduce the pains of purgatory is a greater crime than our mass murders.”
Then, Protestant Imperialism set sail. North America, India, Australia, and Africa were pillaged. Hundreds of millions died as their economies were destroyed by ruthless men with modern weapons.
Fast forward to 1920s-1950s. America’s large cities were run by Catholics. Mayors and political machines worked closely with Catholic Bishops. They saw the flaws of socialism and fought the swelling of the state.
Hate-filled collectivists in a new brand of Imperialistic Protestantism responded in rage: “We’ll fix those Catholics! We’ll destroy their cities! Here’s what we’ll do: Newly invented cotton pickers and planters have automated cotton production. Millions of poor Southerners are unemployed. We will move them into high-rise housing in Northern cities. We will turn them into centers of crime. We will make big, Catholic cities uninhabitable. To help people leave, we’ll run expressways through their parishes! We’ll get rid of the Catholic schools, Catholic hospitals, and overwhelm the Catholic Charities. We’ll replace them with us!”
Bankers, developers, and others lusted. “There will be trillions in mortgages and commissions! We’ll be billionaires!” The necessary political contributions were provided by those who would profit.
America’s cities are still reeling from the shock. Imperialistic Protestantism had struck, again!
