St. John repeats: “Be Catholic!” 1 John 5: 1-4 tells us  “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the Father loves also the one begotten by Him.”

Then, St. John gives us the next step, obedience:  “In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments.”

The most beloved Disciple has made it clear that is not enough to believe and love. We are called to “obey His commandments”.

Then, St. John tells us that “love” is made meaningful by “obedience”: “For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments.”

If we do not obey, we are not keeping His commandments. If we are not keeping His commandments, we do not love. If we do not love, we do not believe. Without obedience, everything unravels.

Disobedience has splintered The Only Church Jesus Founded.  The confusion of 45,000 schisms keeps billions of unborn “children of God” from being born.  Proof that “belief” and “love” must be accompanied by “obedience” is written in the blood of the innocents.

Their deaths show us the need to return to The Church Jesus Decreed Into Being by saying one time, to one man:

“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Is obedience hard? Not according to St. John: “And his commandments are not burdensome, for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith.”

Death comes from disobedience. “Love” and “belief” without “obedience” are death-dealing delusions.

Is it wise, or even sane, to be among those willing to take the risk of disobeying for no more reward than the temporary approval of those around them?
