Today’s Reading begins with God telling Isaiah about His Knowledge of every person: 66:18-23: “Thus says the LORD: I know their works and their thoughts, and I come to gather nations of every language; they shall come and see My glory.”
Then, Isaiah Prophesied about Jesus and The Catholic Church: “I will set a sign among them (The Sign of The Cross); from them I will send fugitives to the nations: to Tarshish (which may be Ethiopia and the homes of Cushites, from whom Moses’ wife came), Put and Lud, Mosoch, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands (beginning with those around The Mediterreanean Sea and then to more distant “coastlands”, like Ireland, the Americas, the Philippines, and Australia.) that have never heard of My fame, or seen My glory; and they (First the Levites, then His Catholic priests and religious.) shall proclaim My glory among the nations.”
After Today’s Psalm 117:1-2 reminds every Catholic of our duty; “Go out to all the world and tell the Good News.”, Hebrews 12:5-5,11-13 tells Catholics that we are chosen: “Brothers and sisters, you have forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as children: ‘My son, do not disdain the discipline of The Lord or lose heart when reproved by Him, for whom The Lord loves, He disciplines; He scourges every son He acknowledges.” That reminds us of Proverbs 3:12: ‘For The Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.”

Today’s “Alleluia” from John 14:6 tells the world what Catholics respect God’s Son enough to follow: “‘I am the way, the truth, and the life,’ says The Lord. “No one comes to The Father, except through Me.'”
Jesus was asked the most important question on earth in Luke 13:22-30, “Lord, will only a few people be saved?”. He told them: “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many (those who seek truth in the thousands of Marketing Plans invented by self-serving people possessed by demons of vanity), I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough. After The Master of The House has arisen and locked the door, then you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ He will say to you in reply, ‘I do not know where you are from. Depart from Me, you evildoers!'”
That should send shivers of fear through all who insult The Perfect Truth of He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies by disobeying His Specific, Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Catholics know those “keys” include The Seven Catholic Sacraments that allow us to “recline at table in The Kingdom of God.” Then, The Son of God gives hope to those who have rejected His Church-Creating Proclamation to Peter. They may be saved by sincere repentance in the final days and hours of life: “For behold, some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”
Even the most pig-headed people on earth, lapsed Catholics who would otherwise be among “the first who will be last”, may be saved.
