what’s going on with our friends, neighbors, and family members. When we see how well their lives are going, we see a relationship the world encourages us to overlook: The more closely people follow basic Catholic doctrine, the better their lives.
When this analysis is made, even on the most perfunctory basis, one quickly sees that both adults and children do better when they “follow the rules”.
This analysis also works with Protestants. The more closely they adhere to the Catholic beliefs remaining in their operating systems, the better their lives.
Why Should We Make That Analysis?
Today’s Reading is one of the most frightening in either of The Programming Logs. The first part of the Reading is from Daniel 7:9-10
As I watched:
Thrones were set up
and the Ancient One took his throne.
His clothing was bright as snow,
and the hair on His head as white as wool;
His throne was flames of fire,
with wheels of burning fire.
A surging stream of fire
flowed out from where He sat;
Thousands upon thousands were ministering to Him,
and myriads upon myriads attended Him.
The court was convened and the books were opened.
The scary conclusion follows a description of the Power of the Truly Supreme Court as it goes into session: “and the books were opened”.
Judgment will follow. If we have chosen to live our lives in intentional or semi-intentional ignorance of the Prophets, their prophecies, and the fulfillment of those prophecies, then our individual account is automatically listed in the debit column.
So, we should look around and see whether or not the Operating System that is The Roman Catholic Church hurts, or helps, those whom we know. If we refuse to do that basic analysis, we’re missing opportunities for salvation. If we then refuse to modify our human operating system in accord with one that we can clearly see working well around us, we may have demeaned our analytical ability to the point we can no longer see that we have soul we may lose.
Those lacking in belief and obedience cannot help but have debits with too few counter-balancing credits. It is not smart, not even sane, to spend our days before the books are opened without thinking of our most important debts and doing what we can to ask The Creditor to forgive them.
All of us know that we haven’t done as much good as we could, and that we’ve caused more hurt than we should.
It’s a good idea to start spending even a minute or two every day asking for mercy. Anyone in their right mind will start asking, now, that The Accountant will kindly ignore all the unpaid debts his eagle-eyed auditors have discovered in each one of our accounts.
