No Rain for a Month

Our rural area, fifty miles outside of Pittsburgh, had so much rain that the farmers couldn’t plant their fields in May. In June, the fields were finally dry enough to run tractors and planters over it. We’ve had no rain since a couple of weeks before the planting, and the crops are struggling to survive.

We’ve had rain clouds pass over us to the North, South, East, and West. The showers missed our area. Concerns are growing, though grain isn’t. No rain in sight.

Prayers are being raised, but have not been answered. The farmers are first to realize how helpless we all are when God holds back the rain.
