Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Reading 1
Zec 9:9-10
Thus says the LORD:
Rejoice heartily, O daughter Zion,
shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king shall come to you;
a just savior is he,
meek, and riding on an ass,
on a colt, the foal of an ass.
He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim,
and the horse from Jerusalem;
the warrior’s bow shall be banished,
and he shall proclaim peace to the nations.
His dominion shall be from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Ps 145:1-2, 8-9, 10-11, 13-14Responsorial Psalm
R. (cf. 1) I will praise your name for ever, my king and my God.
I will extol you, O my God and King,
and I will bless your name forever and ever.
Every day will I bless you,
and I will praise your name forever and ever.
R. I will praise your name for ever, my king and my God.
The LORD is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and of great kindness.
The LORD is good to all
and compassionate toward all his works.
R. I will praise your name for ever, my king and my God.
Let all your works give you thanks, O LORD,
and let your faithful ones bless you.
Let them discourse of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might.

The LORD is faithful in all his words
and holy in all his works.
The LORD lifts up all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
R. I will praise your name for ever, my king and my God.
Rom 8:9, 11-13Reading II
Brothers and sisters:
You are not in the flesh;
on the contrary, you are in the spirit,
if only the Spirit of God dwells in you.
Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
the one who raised Christ from the dead
will give life to your mortal bodies also,
through his Spirit that dwells in you.
Consequently, brothers and sisters,
we are not debtors to the flesh,
to live according to the flesh.
For if you live according to the flesh, you will die,
but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,
you will live.
Mt 11:25-30Gospel
At that time Jesus exclaimed:
“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to little ones.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
Catholic Fundamentalism Interpretation:
The Loving Programmer is announcing to His chosen people of every nation that the fulfillment of His Program is coming to earth.
Specifically, He will be humbly riding on an ass, a colt, the foal of an ass. This is how He must enter into His Kingship, and no one who enters differently is the Rightful King.
When He comes, He will banish fighting and the means of fighting from the people chosen to live in His Kingdom.
He will proclaim peace all over the world, (and, those called to live in His Kingdom will live in peace).
I will praise Your Name forever, ruler of Earth and Heaven.
I will extol You, my heavenly and earthly ruler, and bless Your Name forever.
I will praise Your Name forever, ruler of Earth and Heaven.
The Loving Programmer is gracious and merciful. He is slow to anger and of great kindness. He is good to all and wants His works (especially His human programs) to do well.
I will praise Your Name forever, ruler of Earth and Heaven.
Let all that You have programmed and downloaded give thanks to You Who brought them into being, and let those who believe and obey bless You. Let them tell of the glory of Your Kingdom and of how powerful You are.
I will praise Your Name forever, ruler of Earth and Heaven.
The Loving Programmer is faithful in all His programs and holy in all that He does. He restores failing programs and raises those who humble themselves.
I will praise Your name forever, ruler of Earth and Heaven.
Fellow believers, you are not living in the flesh, overwhelmed by the lesser programs. You are close to The Loving Programmer, not to what He has programmed and downloaded, but only if The Holy Wireless Connector is in you, joining you to Him.
Those who don’t download The Program (in the Eucharist) do not belong to Him.
If The Loving Programmer and the Holy Wireless Connector who restored Jesus, The Program in perfect, obedient, human form, are in you, you will have immortal life, as well, through that spirit that lives in you.
So, brothers and sisters, we do not owe anything to the world or to our bodies to live as they would have us.
Because if you live according to the flesh and the programmed entities, you (like them), will die, but if by The Holy Wireless Connector, you can erase the demands of the body, you will live (forever?).
Then, Jesus said clearly: “I give praise to you, Loving Programmer, Who programmed and downloaded all the realms, heaven and earthly. Although You have hidden what you’ve done from the wise and learned (vain people), you have shown them to children and commoners. That, Loving Programmer, has been Your gracious Will.
All the programmed entities have been given to me (The Program, in perfect, obedient, human form) by The Loving Programmer.
No one knows The Program except The Loving Programmer, Who wrote The Program and those to whom The Program wants to grant access to The Loving Programmer.”
“Come to me, if you are working and burdened with concerns about life and eternity. I will restore your program (so that you may find peace). Utilize My access code, download and obey My Operating Instructions. It’s easy to do because I will not tell you how small you are compared to me. I’m humble, and want you to save your souls I will grant you rest and peace, because My Operating Instructions are easy to obey and not hard to follow.”
