St. Benedict would push for Catholic Cyber Schools.

St. Benedict was one of the world’s greatest organizational geniuses and a great proponent of edcuation.  He was responsible for developing the underlying laws of monastic organizations.  For over a thousand years, convents, monasteries, and schools have been organized according to the rules first set down by the great Saint, Benedict.

Today, he would be appalled to see that most of public education had turned into a jobs machine for politically connected hacks.   He would be stunned at the cost.  “What!  Twelve to fifteen thousand dollars per year per child?  It costs that much?”  A thrifty, economical man concerned about providing value, St. Benedict would push for Catholic Cyber Schools.

He would also react strongly to the low quality of curricula, learning, teacher salary, and the low number of pupils per teacher. “What is the reasons for these tiny classes?  A good teacher can instruct four or five dozen students, not just a dozen!”  The great teacher and organizer would realize that, and  St. Benedict would push for Catholic Cyber Schools.

Today, St. Benedict would realize that computers would allow a few of the very best teachers to instruct four or five thousand students.  He would look at the current, colossal failures in education and St. Benedict would push  for Catholic Cyber Schools.

Why aren’t more professional Catholics doing what St. Benedict would have done, providing a better Catholic education at a lower cost for more students? If he would return today, St. Benedict would push for Catholic Cyber Schools.

Why would anyone be against Catholic Cyber Schools?
