Some Catholics have wrong priorities.

The first priority of any thinking Catholic is getting his or her soul into Heaven.  There’s nothing for anyone that’s more important.

Then, we consider our families, friends, and neighbors.  We want them to have eternal happiness, as well.  So, that’s something on which we should focus.

What does Catholic Fundamentalism do?  It focuses on seeing how real God, souls, and salvation are by taking the Faith of our Fathers and updating some of the words.  When we think of God as The Loving Programmer, we more easily realize, “God is smarter than we are.  He can program particles and energies.  He compiled all those particle and energy programs into The Creation Program.  He downloaded each of us human programs within it to separate those who would find and obey Him from those who would not.”

For people in our day and age, who see computer-generated graphics every day, it is not hard to consider, “All of us may be living in a computer-generated reality that God has downloaded to give us free will.”

Catholic Fundamentalism wants it to be easier to believe, “I have a soul that I want to live in joy forever.  If I believe in, and obey, The Loving Programmer, my soul can live in joy, forever.”

Some Catholics have wrong priorities. While vain attempts to fix things are often of passing interest, they may distract us from saving souls.   Catholics who consider themselves “intellectuals” are particularly prone to “fixing things”.

Catholics who focus on magic answers and clever fixes tend to run off the rails.  They start thinking that mankind can be saved with new social organizations and economic distribution systems.  While making vain attempts to fix things may be of passing interest, they are distractions from our first priority, saving our soul.
