Today’s Reading helped inspire Catholic Fundamentalism.

Today’s Reading from Genesis helped inspire Catholic Fundamentalism.  When its apologist read this passage, he asked, “God, how could you have made the universe in six days?”

Over time, it was made clear to him:  God is The Loving Programmer.  He programs in energies and particles.  He compiled them into systems and beings.  The Creation Program is like a huge, 3-D movie, programmed in 3-D pixels.  We, human programs, have free will and live within the larger program, starring in our own brief appearance.

While reading Today’s passage from Genesis, we can see how perfectly Catholic Fundamentalism’s theories fit the recorded process of Creation:

Genesis 1:2-19

“Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (The Loving Programmer downloaded the energy program He had written.  Some of the energies, called “angels’ in the Iron Age, were alive.”  Other energy programs, like light, were not.  The living energy programs were given the ability to help Him with the 3-D programming of particles that followed.)
“God saw how good the light was.  God then separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”  (Thus evening came, and morning followed–the first day.”  (God had not only downloaded light, but He also provided the binary process.  On and off.)

“Then God said,  ‘Let there be a dome in the middle of the waters, to separate one body of water from the other.
And so it happened: God made the dome, and it separated the water above the dome from the water below it.
God called the dome ‘the sky.’  Evening came, and morning followed–the second day.”  (The Loving Programmer downloaded the miniscus layer, causing semi-permanent separations between some of the  Building-Block Programs.  Things could appear and reappear in solid, liquid, and gaseous forms.  The basic building blocks were finished.  Next, He would begin the compilation of the sub-programs.  That was followed by copying and pasting the working systems, from galaxies to electrons where He wanted them to be.)

“Then God said, ‘Let the water under the sky be gathered into a single basin, so that the dry land may appear.’
And so it happened:  the water under the sky was gathered into its basin,  and the dry land appeared.  God called the dry land ‘the earth, and the basin of the water he called ‘the sea.’  God saw how good it was.”  (The Loving Programmer, and His Programming Assistants, had the basic building blocks of The Creation Program in place.  All the sub-programs worked, just as He had written and downloaded them.   Each worked on its own and each worked flawlessly with all the other sub-programs.)

Then God said,  “Let the earth bring forth vegetation:  every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it.”  And so it happened:  the earth brought forth every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it.  God saw how good it was.
Evening came, and morning followed–the third day.”  (Then, after some of what the first replicating programs would need to sustain themselves had been downloaded, the first self-replicating programs were downloaded.  We call them “Plants”.  Their programs were written so they’d be able to absorb energy and replicate their own programs.  Often, other plants had to be involved in the process.  They produced seeds and fruit for other, more complicated replicating programs that would be downloaded in a later programming session.)

Then God said: “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky, to separate day from night.  Let them mark the fixed times, the days and the years, and serve as luminaries in the dome of the sky, to shed light upon the earth.”  And so it happened:  God made the two great lights, the greater one to govern the day, and the lesser one to govern the night;
and he made the stars.  God set them in the dome of the sky, to shed light upon the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw how good it was.”  (IMPORTANT NOTE:  The First Programming Log tells us that plants were made first, THEN the light programs that provided them with the light and warmth they needed to live were downloaded.  Catholic Fundamentalists see this as an important hint:  Plants will not last long without light.  The previous passage tells us “the earth brought forth every kind of plant. . .”  Without light and warmth, they’d have quickly died, so this Programming Session had to IMMEDIATELY follow the plant downloads.

In the passage, we see a reason for believing that The Loving Programmer downloaded The Creation Program quickly, quite possibly in the six days recorded in Genesis.  It would be foolish to say, “I cannot imagine a Being powerful enough to do that, therefore it didn’t happen like the Bible says.”
