The Judeo-Catholic tradition.

Most of us are aware of, and have used the phrase:  “Judeo-Christian tradition”.  Catholic Fundamentalism suggests that this is intentionally flawed.  The correct reading is “Judeo-Catholic tradition”.  Why the difference?  Many Christians are in denominations that do not reflect Christ’s words, thoughts, and teachings.

Many who call themselves “Christian” give support to denominations that do not condemn abortion or artificial birth control chemicals and devices that destroy the very tiniest of unborn babies.  The Catholic Church, on the other hand, has unwaveringly condemned both abortion and artificial birth control.

The Jewish people of old similarly proscribed abortion and artificial birth control.  There is an unbroken chain running between killing Onan for spilling his seed on the ground to keep from impregnating his brother’s widow, and today’s condemnation of artificial birth control by The Catholic Church.  “The Judeo-Catholic tradition” describes those risen to that moral high ground.  “The Judeo-Christian tradition” includes people who are not pro-life.

Before Christ, those who believed in child sacrifice used to pass their babies through the fires burning at the temples of the damned.  Then, as now, corrupt and hopeless governments tried to balance their books by eliminating young people who might cause economic dislocation.

Whether in the oak groves of the ancient Middle East or the urban abortuaries of today, those who renounce the pro-life Judeo-Catholic tradition risk removing their souls from the possibility of being with God in Heaven forever.

Many who think of themselves as Christian, but who supported any unnatural anti-life activity their denominations may have favored, may face an unpleasant surprise.  Even the occasional practicing pro-life Protestant is doing something wrong.   Pro-life people who support pro-choice denominations destroy the pro-life unity necessary to stop abortion.  They are part of the culture of death.

The safest thing anyone can do is be Catholic.  The second best?  Be as pro-life as the Catholic Church.
