Loving even neighbors who steal from us.

Christ’s command to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” means just that.  As we grow older, we gain a better understanding of how many of our neighbors are stealing from us.  The command gets harder to obey.  Loving even neighbors who steal from us.  It is not easy.

Most political activity is designed to transfer assets from one group to another.  As we become more aware of how many such people there are, and how unscrupulously many of them will steal, we are still required to “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

Our nation is about to undergo one of the periodic waves of leveling.  Already, the poor are being encouraged to hate their richer neighbors.  The rich will be prompted to hate the poor.

Leveling unleashes tribes of demons.  Pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth do all the damage they can from within those unhappy souls who let them take charge of their minds and bodies.  Political parties make hay, always pretending that their real concern is “Making things fairer.”  Levelers forget:  the command to love our neighbor does not include the demons that may be within them.

As the waves of levelers roll over, our job is clear.  We are to obey our instruction:  “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

If we do not love our neighbor as our self, we have allowed an idol to come between us and He Who gave us that instruction.

We must ask God to save us from the awful, spiritual destroyers, pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth unleashed by levelers.  The Sacraments are a great help.  Evil beings have an impossible time getting into a soul that has within it The Body and Blood of Christ received in Communion.
