The Assumption of Mary began before The Annunciation.

King David brought "The Ark of The Covenant" to The Tribes in Jerusalem. Mary brought The Living Word of God to all the peoples on earth.

Everyone may see how Today’s Catholic Reading lets us see that Mary was the last Ark of The Covenant!  David was made King to bring the first Ark of The Covenant to “all Israel” and ordered everyone to assemble in Jerusalem.  1 Chronicles 15:3-4, 15-16; 16 1-2 explains how David began what became The Catholic Church.  “After the Ark of The Covenant was brought into the tent, David finished offering up the burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the Name of The Lord”.

Today’s 2nd Reading comes from Paul’s teachings to Catholics in God’s New Testament, 1 Corinthians 15:54-57.  “Brothers and sisters:  When that which is mortal clothes itself with immortality, then the word that is written shall come about:

St. Paul knew that Isaiah 25:8 correctly predicted:  “Death is swallowed up in victory.”  Then, Paul asks:  “Where, O death, is your victory?  Where, O death, is your sting?  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

That Catholic “Victory” comes to every person who respectfully obeys The Son of David Who Spoke God’s One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being with His Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

All Christians read Luke 11:28 and know that Jesus Christ Himself, He Who Fulfilled over 300 Prophecies, told all who hear His Words: “Blessed are they who hear The Word of God and observe it.”

Blessedly simple Catholic minds know:  The opposite of God’s Words is true.   2 + 2 = 4 means that 2 + any other number cannot =  4.”

Question:  “What is the opposite of Blessed are those who hear The Word of God and observe it.’?

Answer: Cursed are those who hear The Word of God and do not obey it.”

Is there a better reason to be Catholic than to think clearly about “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”?

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “The Mother of God was taken to Heaven. / So are Catholics blessed by the Sacraments Seven.”
