In Today’s Catholic Reading from 1 Kings 8:22-23, 27-30, Catholics see a Prophecy of St. Faustina, whose great understanding of God’s Mercy became the focus of her Holy Life!
“Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of the whole community of Israel, and stretching forth his hands toward Heaven, he said ‘LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in Heaven above or earth below: You keep Your covenant of mercy with your servants who are faithful to You with their whole heart.” Nowhere on earth is that clearer than in The Diary of St. Faustina (a free link at the bottom of the page!)
Then, Solomon prophesies Catholics and our Church with a question: “Can it indeed be that God dwells on earth?” Catholics know! The Actual Body and Blood of Jesus “dwells on earth” in the Bread and Wine that has been turned into The Body and Blood of Jesus by Catholic priests by The Miracle of Transubstantiation!
Solomon finishes Today’s Reading with this plea that Prophesies the Sacrament of Confession and Absolution that Jesus would bring to His Catholic Church on earth a thousand years later! “Listen from Your heavenly dwelling and grant pardon.”
Prophecies are repeated in Today’s Psalm 84:3-5, 10, 11. “My soul yearns and pines for the courts of The LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God.”, foretells Catholic Communion! “Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest in which she puts her young.” is a Prophecy of Catholic Families and Education. Catholics are further predicted: “Blessed are they who dwell in Your House! Continually they praise You… I had rather lie at the threshold of the House of My God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
Psalm 119:39 & 29 come together to Prophesy what Catholics would ask God to do for us: “Incline my heart, O God, to Your decrees; and favor me with Your law.”
That is a Prophecy of The Church-Creating Decree of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope and the Seven Catholic Sacraments with which His obedient “friends” would receive His “favor”! “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Then, in Mark 7:1-13, Jesus prophesies those who would reject His Church-Creating Word in favor of the thousands of anti-Catholic Marketing Plans that would take denominational form! “How well you have set aside the Commandment of God to uphold your tradition!”
Today’s Catholic Gospel Reading ends with a not-so “Hidden Prophecy” of all who lead donors to reject His Teaching: “You nullify the Word of God in favor of your tradition that you have handed on.”
