Today, The Bible gives us “Hidden Prophecies” of how blessed Catholics are to obey the Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Acts 2:42-47 is a “Hidden Prophecy” of Catholic Monastic Orders:  “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.”

The blessing these First Catholics received is not a “Hidden Prophecy”“Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the Apostles’‘, who were The First Catholic Bishops!

The First Pope recognized that because 1 Peter 1:3-9 tells us:  “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who in His great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in Heaven for you who, by the power of God, are safeguarded through faith, to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time.”

That “inheritance” is a “Hidden Prophecy” that includes having ours immortal souls “safeguarded” by “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”, which include the Seven Catholic Sacraments.  Today’s “Hidden Prophecy” includes the Specific “key to the Kingdom of Heaven” that is Confession/Absolution.  John 20:19-31 tells us what God empowers Catholic priests to do:

“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.  As the Father has sent Me, so I send you.’  And, when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them:  ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.  Those whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and those whose sins you retain are retained.”

The Catholic Sacrament of Confession/Absolution is always a “Prophecy” that is “Hidden” from those who want to avoid That Word of Jesus!

Catholics are blessed with that Sacrament because we are included in this “Hidden Prophecy” that applies to every Catholic believer for the past 2,000 years:  “Blessed are those who have not seen and believed.”

~

Today’s Simple Rhyme:  “May every mind be blessed to see: / ‘Jesus Christ knows more than me!’/  Save me from the sin / of avoiding Him!”
