Jesus came to divide. The Bible describes the many, many divisions of Jesus. Luke 12:52 “From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.” He divides sheep from goats and wheat from weeds.

Then, for all the time remaining, a great miracle among the divisions of Jesus: He divided the living from the dead with more than a dozen references in John 6:33-66, and The Last Supper Accounts: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

The only way anyone may have “life in you” is to receive Communion from a Catholic priest ordained in living link with The Apostles. Jesus ordained them with the power to forgive sins (John 20:23) and bring about The Miracle of Transubstantiation, turning bread and wine into His Body and Blood to be received by obedient Catholics.

The divisions of Jesus continue. Jesus separates those satisfied with striving to be saved from those who seek to be “perfect”. Matthew 19: 16-22 tells us of the advice Jesus gave to a wealthy young man who wanted to get into Heaven. Jesus told him to obey the commandments. The rich young man replied,
“All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?” Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.” When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.”
To be perfect, we go beyond obeying “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” We sell what we have, give it to the poor, and come, “follow Me”.

How? We become Catholic religious. Priest, monk, deacon, sister, brother.

What if we are old and seek perfection? Does any Holy Order need more old people draining their resources with medical problems? What did Jesus tell an older, wealthy man who was inspired to realize?

Luke 19: 1-10: “But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, ‘Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house. . .”
We are not able to receive His Marching Orders as long as we value the things of the world more than what He offers. Then, we may be blessed to march among The Divisions of Jesus.
