The Bible is clear. We are “made in the image of God“. Catholics obey the teachings of The Faith Handed Down From The Apostles. 43,000 denominations of non-Catholics change many of those teachings. Protestants make God in their image.

One of the most absurd “I make God in my image” beliefs? “The most important thing in my life is my personal relationship with My Jesus.” Many will magnify the utter inanity of their shallowness by nodding wisely as they recite such silliness.

It’s hard to avoid some feeling of nausea when hearing, “I have a personal relationship with My Jesus.” Repeating that emptiest of Protestant bromides is an excuse to justify sinful attachments that take us farther from God, His Teachings, and The Only Church He Founded.

Many among the newer Protestants are desperate for such deep thinkers and their donations. “None of us are perfect. It is important that we feel good about ourselves. Jesus will lead us where we need to go. We believe in Jesus and The Bible.”

Who among us has heard one of the low-end Pastor Bobs remind anyone of Rev 22:15, “These others must stay outside: dogs, fortune-tellers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolators, and everyone of false speech and false life.”

Has any Protestant group defended the sanctity of marriage by defining improper relationships as “fornication“? Have any Protestant denominations dared to describe users of artificial birth control chemicals and devices that work by killing the tiniest of unborn babies as “murderers“? Have any of them the courage to include those who allow and encourage such sins as being among the “idolators, and everyone of false speech and false life“?

Has anyone elevating a “personal relationship with Jesus” over obeying His clear instructions “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood (receive Catholic Communion) you do not have life in you.”? been thought of as being among those who “must stay outside: dogs, fortune-tellers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolators, and everyone of false speech and false life.”

Instead, most Protestants agree: “We’d like Catholics more if they would just change with the times and have a personal relationship with Jesus.”
